Congratulations to the incredible organizations that have completed their successful launches of the Well-Being Index assessment this month! Texas Health Physicians Group, University of Florida Health Jacksonville, and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have all taken the important first step in prioritizing well-being and reducing the adverse consequences of distress. Through partnering with the Well-Being Index, these organizations are leading the way in the healthcare industry by prioritizing the wellness of their medical students, physicians, and other medical professionals.

Going Beyond Burnout

Texas Health Physicians Group, University of Florida Health Jacksonville, and Washington University School of Medicine have chosen to go beyond burnout and use the Well-Being Index as part of their comprehensive wellness programming to ensure the health and well-being of their providers and students through systemic initiatives.

At 37 clinical sites throughout Northeast Florida, UF physicians tally more than 600,000 outpatient visits and more than 34,000 inpatient admissions annually. The mission of UF Health Jacksonville is to heal, comfort, educate, and discover.

Washington University School of Medicine is consistently ranked a top medical school and has a mission of advancing human health through the best clinical care, innovative research and the education of tomorrow’s leaders in biomedicine in a culture that supports diversity, inclusion, critical thinking, and creativity. They take pride in their community of student-centered medicine.

Partnering with the WBI

By partnering with the Well-Being Index, these organizations have joined hundreds of hospitals, institutions, and medical schools worldwide in taking the initiative to fight against distress. Their providers and students will now have the opportunity to anonymously track their well-being over time, compare their results to peers’ and national averages, provide feedback, and receive customized local and national resources.

We are excited to continue to work with these partners to foster well-being and reduce the negative consequences that come with distress.
