Amazon launches first neighborhood health center

In an effort to support their employees and provide quality care which is not easily accessible to many, Seattle-based Amazon has launched its first neighborhood health center in DFW. According to an article recently published in D Magazine, the tech company is partnering with Crossover Health to offer a variety of primary care services including behavioral health and health coaching to Amazon employees at fulfillment centers in Coppell and Haslet and other sites near Dallas, Garland, and Fort Worth.

Amazon has long been a model for pioneering employee well-being practices and aims to continue prioritizing staff through this most recent initiative. "The launch of these new Neighborhood Health Centers will provide a range of quality primary care services for employees across the country – further strengthening Amazon’s industry-leading benefits program, which provides comprehensive healthcare for employees starting on day one of employment,” said Amazon's Vice President of Human Resources Darcie Henry.

How CommonSpirit Health is using the Well-Being Index during COVID-19

Dr. Keith Frey, Chief Medical Officer of CommonSpirit Arizona Division, was recently interviewed on the High Impact Physician Podcast hosted by Sandy Scott of Sandy Scott Consulting Group. In the interview, Dr. Frey discussed how the leading national health system which serves 21 states implemented the Well-Being Index to support their staff at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak.

"We decided in the month of May that the pandemic is not going away, and we really have to roll out something quickly to monitor the overall health, or lack thereof, of our workforce. That has been very useful," Said Dr. Frey. "We’re beginning to see some of the hot spots that we can begin to address." Listen to the full podcast to learn how they have used the Well-Being Index with other initiatives during COVID-19.
